Privacy policy

Your project stays under your control.

This policy explains how VM Ingegneria di Viames Marino handles information when you use ComposerGlass for macOS or visit this product website.

Last updated: 27 July 2026

Summary Controller App data Connections Storage and deletion Website data Third parties Your rights Changes Contact

Privacy at a glance

  • No ComposerGlass account is required.
  • Project inspection and deterministic explanations run locally on your Mac.
  • The app contains no advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics.
  • ComposerGlass does not send your project files or analysis results to us.
  • Cloud AI is disabled in ComposerGlass build 0.1.0 (1).

01

Who is responsible

The data controller is VM Ingegneria di Viames Marino, VAT number IT04021320793, Italy. You can contact the controller through the contact form on viames.it.

02

Information processed by the app

ComposerGlass reads the Composer projects that you choose to open, including files such as composer.json, composer.lock, installed-package metadata, and command output. This processing is necessary to provide project inspection, dependency information, diagnostics, command previews, activity history, and recovery features.

This information is processed locally. ComposerGlass does not transmit project contents, package lists, command history, or diagnostic results to VM Ingegneria.

03

Network connections you initiate

When you run a Composer command or request package and update information, Composer may connect to Packagist, GitHub, GitLab, private repositories, or other package sources configured for your project. Those requests may include technical network information, such as your IP address, and credentials already configured in Composer or macOS.

These connections are made to complete the action you requested. ComposerGlass does not send repository credentials to VM Ingegneria. The external service receiving a request handles it under its own terms and privacy policy.

04

Local storage, retention, and deletion

ComposerGlass may keep preferences, recent-project references, activity information, and recovery data locally so that its features work as expected. Local project files and backups remain under your control and are retained until you remove them using ComposerGlass or macOS file-management tools.

Because the app does not create an account or store your app data on VM Ingegneria servers, there is no server-side ComposerGlass account or project archive for us to retain or delete.

05

This product website

This is a static website. It does not use advertising cookies, tracking technologies, or analytics. The web server may process standard access-log information, such as IP address, request date and time, requested resource, response status, and browser user agent. This information is used only to deliver the site, maintain security, diagnose faults, and prevent abuse.

Server logs are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for those operational and security purposes, then deleted or rotated. This limited processing is based on the controller’s legitimate interest in providing a secure and reliable website.

06

Third-party services

Apple processes information when it distributes or updates the app through the Mac App Store. Package repositories and source-control providers process requests when you use Composer features that contact them. Their handling of information is governed by their respective privacy policies.

If you choose to contact VM Ingegneria through viames.it, that separate site handles the information you submit according to its privacy policy.

07

Your privacy rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, rectification of, erasure of, restriction of, or portability of your personal data, and you may object to certain processing. These rights mainly concern information that you provide when contacting us and any website access information that can be associated with you; the app itself does not send us your project data.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority or with the competent authority in your country.

08

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when ComposerGlass features or data practices change. The latest version will remain available at this URL, with the revision date shown at the top of the page.
